SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Director, Human Resources will be responsible for partnering and supporting the Client Ohio Manufacturing Facility in West Chester, OH. The candidate will provide strategic and operational services that support Client’s overall achievement of business objectives and goals. He/she will provide strategy and counsel to the organization on projects and goals as they relate to the effectiveness of the overall organization and the employee workforce. These services include, but are not limited to, providing a strategic business perspective, organizational development, leadership coaching, human resource consultation and serving as a resource to respective management teams on people-related issues. Working with Client's Corporate HR Department, he/she will develop and implement solutions to organizational and people-related challenges based upon technical expertise, ongoing knowledge of the environment and an analysis of situation-specific alternatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will ensure that respective human resource planning is consistent with overall business needs. He/she will provide input and recommendations for the design of new HR programs or processes, and influence the success of the design and implementation of Human Resource guidelines, systems and programs. Specifically, the candidate will serve as the point person for strategic and operational issues such as reframing organizations, employee and manager issues resolution, ensuring programs and initiatives are efficiently and effectively implemented and coaching managers and employees to increase their effectiveness. The candidate will influence the development of and implement strategies and programs to attract, develop, reward and retain exceptional people. The candidate will interpret HR guidelines and legal risk assessments and must be adept with HR metrics and data to influence organization behavior and change. This position will require some meeting facilitation at senior staff levels. This position will not only partner with site HR, Training and Leadership Development but will establish relationships with corporate HR in managing the efficient rollout of all Corporate HR employee programs as well as technology programs, to include needed training. The candidate will work closely with site Technical Training, Staffing, Learning and Development, as well as other HR Corporate Organizations such as Benefits, Compensation, Diversity and Services. He/she will initiate and manage a variety of HR efforts and projects and must be capable of leading cross-functional teams. The candidate will be a champion for change and innovation and will leverage the involvement of Key Stakeholders and opinion leaders. This individual will also have responsibility for the Community Outreach program for the site and oversight of the on-site cafeteria. This individual will have 5 direct reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field and/or equivalent combination of training/education/experience is required. The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources with exposure to and demonstrated competence in all functional areas. Manufacturing experience a must and cGMP environment experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to think and consult strategically, experience managing and leading change and highly effective influencing skills. Strong project management skills are also required. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have comprehensive knowledge and expertise in legal risk assessment as well as the application of employment law in business situations. He/she must have a strong level of collaboration, partnership and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strategic business partnerships to establish rapport and credibility at all levels. Up to 20% domestic travel may be required.
