Senior Manager - Pricing
Job Description:
Clients Government Services Division has an opening for a Pricing Manager. The Pricing Manager is responsible for coordinating and developing cost estimates to generate complex proposals in response to customer requests, primarily for U.S. Government and DoD contracts.
Position Summary:
Provides analysis and support for pricing issues related to government contracts. Prices request for proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs) under the government contracting requirements to ensure all contract requirements are met at a reasonable and competitive cost to the company and the client/government. Assists other functional areas by providing pricing input related to potential changes to goods and services currently provided and to new initiatives. Analyzes and reviews pricing information provided by subcontractors. Provides other needed assistance to pricing/contracts department.
Review, analyze and compile cost data, prepare cost volumes in accordance with RFP requirements for submittal to customer.
Support audit and fact-finding for cost proposals.
Entails review and comprehension of Request for Quote (RFQ) / Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements.
Prepare and present briefing packages for management review and approval of proposals.
Support and participate in cost proposal negotiations. In addition, provide support to the Program Office pertaining to Program cost tracking to include task cost estimating and estimates to complete.
Prepare Rough Orders of Magnitude, change proposals, and customer cost reports as required.
Provide analysis of Program performance to various Work Breakdown Structure levels as requested. Identify causes for variances.
Solid DoD proposals experience is a must. Strong oral and written communication skills and organizational skills are required. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is required. Must have MSOffice applications experience.
Basic Education/Requirements: BA or BS Basic
Management/Supervisory Experience Required:
1 year Basic Functional Experience
Required: 3 years government or business contractring experience.
